Hello there, friend!
I’m Erin Petty, the crochet-obsessed lady behind Sweet Honey Crochet. My great-grandmother taught me to crochet when I was about 9 years old, and I’ve kept up with the craft off and on for the past 20 years. When my husband and I moved to Brazil in January 2015–and my visa prohibited me from being employed there!–I dove head first into the world of crochet. During the last two years, I’ve expanded my knowledge and developed my skills to an extent I never thought possible. I find myself loving my craft more and more each day, especially when I think about how proud my great-grandmother would be if she could see what I’ve been able to learn and create.
While in Brazil, I started this blog to share my projects with friends and family back home. I hope to continuing sharing my work here, as well as posting tutorials and patterns that I design myself.
When we returned to the US in late 2016, I launched my business, Sweet Honey Crochet, to sell my handmade crocheted goodness. More recently, I’ve been learning to knit, and I hope to offer knitwear in the future, as well.
Please follow me on other social media sites to see more day-by-day updates of my work and projects that are in progress:
Thanks so much for checking out my blog! I hope you enjoy it, and maybe learn something new, too! 🙂
